How to Get Involved
This campaign has been designed so you can get the most out of it and boost your 2010 marketing efforts.
- Wear the Licensed Optician Lapel Pin: The pin you received in the package mailed to you identifies us as trained health professionals. The more people see it, the more our profession is recognized for the true value we bring. Wear it with pride and help build our new brand. If you did not receive a pin, you can order one online through the Licensed Opticians store.
- Spread the Word: The Opticians story can be posted on your website or shared with other colleagues and friends by email. We encourage you to encourage others to go viral and spread the word about your profession and the value you bring.
- Promote the TV Ad: To extend the reach of the TV ad it is posted on YouTube so you can direct colleagues, friends and potential clients to check it out and go to www.LicensedOptician.ca to find an Opticians near them. You can also put the YouTube link on your website.
- Fresh Flowers: You’ll note that the brand and campaign look and feel features a beautiful “Gerber” flower. Bringing these flowers – or just one – into your store will provide a visual connection to the brand and the campaign.
- Online Advertising: In addition to being able to display the multi-media “Opticians Story” clip your websites we’ve developed a web banner for you to place on your website.


- Order In-store Promotional Items: Educational material and a poster can be ordered online through the Licensed Opticians store. These materials reinforce the TV ads and provide additional information to the public. They also associate you and your business as Licensed Opticians. See these items in the tools section.
- Use the Licensed Opticians Logo: Consider using the new LO logo along side your own logo as you produce materials. Logo information and logos for download are available here.
- Purchase Merchandise: The Licensed Opticians store sells window decals, t-shirts, tote bags that sport the Licensed Opticians brand.
- Be a Brand Ambassador: We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the Licensed Optician brand and access and use the brand tools.
How to Help Us Measure Campaign Impact
